Choosing the Right Virtual Tour Company

 

Eighty-one percent of home buyers say photos and detailed property descriptions are the most important features when searching online for homes--followed closely by virtual tours.

 

If you choose to have a virtual tour on your MLS listing and on REALTOR.com (we recommend you do) you will need to use one that complies with the MLS rules and is IDX complient. REALTOR.com does not directly upload the virtual tour field from the MLS system. It has to be uploaded to them by the virtual tour hosting company. Not every company can do this. These companies have agreed to abide by the MLS Policies which state: "This field (relating to the MLS imput field) will only contain a hyperlink to a virtual tour of the specific property and may display the brokerages name.  No links to personal or company websites, email addresses, links, references to other properties, contact information or other service providers will be allowed to be entered into this field."

 

Don't waste your money on a virtual tour that can not be used. The following companies are all MLS and IDX complient and can post your virtual tour on REALTOR.com:
